His book signing will be Thursday, 12/13/2007, 7 PM at Prohibition on 696 Queen St E in Toronto, ON. Only a few books will be sold, so get there as soon as you can!
Autumn Footage...
Just a quick note to let you all know that we appreciate your comments on the footage, the good and the bad. We love all feedback, as the fan's voice counts, especially on this production. We would like to point out that this was just a taster of raw footage from only the first week of shooting. We have not even begun post production yet, we just wanted to give the fans a little taste. The footage you see was put together very quickly as we are all extremely busy with the shoot. We have only just begun...
Do keep posting your feedback, we love hearing from everybody.
Zombified with love...

Making it easier...
Okay, so some of you have let us know that the original file is a bit too big. So, we have made a smaller version which you should see embedded into this entry.
Let us know what you think.
(How many zombies does it take to change a light bulb?
...100, 1 to change it and 99 to fight over the old one.)
- As told by Dickon Tolson - Actor who plays Carl in Autumn
Do you want to see some footage?
Hey there,
So, for those who might be interested, here is some footage from our first 8 days of shooting, promo style...
AUTUMN PROMO
Keep in mind that it will take a while to load because it is a huge file. This one might be jumpy for some of you as well. But don't worry, a smaller file will be coming in the next couple of days.
Enjoy!

Camera time
Hello all,
We have been so crazy busy here, but that is a good thing and we are certainly not complaining. We are officially going to camera October 22nd. It is a little later than planned, but actually works out better in a lot of ways. So, we should have some stills pretty soon and definitely some stories and news while production is happening. Our prep has been coming along smoothly and we are looking forward to getting into the "meat" of the production. (rimshot please)
Full cast will be announced at the end of the shoot as we have some surprises coming your way in that area. You won't be disappointed.
Last thing to catch up on...INVESTMENTS! We appreciate all of you who have invested so much. And there will be very little time for anybody left who wants to invest as HALLOWEEN on midnight will be the last day to invest.
Stay tuned...

That was fast...
Wow, well the server problems are fixed and everything is back to normal...well, normal for Renegade anyway. Now onto the redesign of the site!
Where is Renegade?
Well, Steven told me that there are server problems with the renegade site right now. The IT guys are working with the host company and they say that it will be back up sometime today. Stay patient kids, I know you are all clammering to access the site. By the way, this happens at a very good time because we have a site redesign happening. Stay tuned....

A little taste...
Okay, so I disappeared again. However, I would like to make amends with the following little sneak peak/taster/teaser video for Autumn. Hot off the presses, delivered by Steven Rumbelow himself...

...back from the edge of the world...
I'm back! Where was I, you ask? Struggling through the bodies of the Autumn world? I am very happy to say no to that one. I have been busy helping around the office and on the field getting things ready for some exciting updates. First of all, Renegade is working on a new website for Autumn and also a very early sneak peak video. That is all I can say for now. But it will be mouth watering. I can tell you that I am drooling to see this movie. It can't come fast enough for me.
Anyway, stay tuned, I may have gone missing for a few weeks, but I am back with a vengeance. And there is tons more to follow.

Zombie Video Stars
We are getting closer and closer to production. Once we get into the really, really cool stuff, we will be showing you videos galore. Videos of the make up process and videos of the set are a given. Candid videos of the cast are also on the list. What else do you want to see during the making of Autumn?
Also, we are still waiting for those of you with zombie tattoos to send pictures. We know you are out there.
Stay tuned as we have some cool things coming up that I can't tell you about yet. Oh, but they will be good.

Bloodee dig(g)s
In our quest to involve the zombie/horror fan community in the making of our film, we have come across a lot of cool people (see the 'friends of Autumn' links to the right). One of them has a cool new site, it is the Digg, Technorati, del.icio.us, etc. for horror fans. Nothing but Horror news, clips, art, fiction, etc...
This is such a good idea. It seems there is just way too much to sift through on those other social sites to find good and original horror content, let alone other horror fans. This brings all of them together. It is your one stop social horror content shop. And it is growing.
They have extremely cool bookmarklets too; , , Bloodee this up.
In your time between looking at our Autumn blog here and the Renegade site, you should check them out.

What the hell?
So, I have been sat at a desk to help with fan-investor mailings. What else am I supposed to do but waste time on the internet?
Ah, but look where that got me.
I am going back to stuffing envelopes...

Zombie tattoo?
Do you have a zombie tattoo? We would love to see it. If we like it we will post it here on our blog and if we really like it, we may even find a way to incorporate it into the film.
Show your zombie love! Send your zombie tat pics here.

Clickety-click
"Autumn" sometimes feels like what I call a "clickety-click" production. Very rarely... about once every ten years... in my career... a project comes along where everything falls into place.... clickety-click. The kind of production where when you are shooting, it would be nice to have a snowfall in the middle of summer and clickety-click next day there it is starting to snow as you turn over. Things happening on the research, development and scripting of this film is looking that way. If it carries over into the production itself and on into Post-production there'll be even more smiling faces on set than usual on a Renegade production. Fingers crossed.

Why we want your feedback...
It has come to our attention that several of you might be wondering why we are taking this route in the making of Autumn. We feel that fan-bases are an enormously positive element of public involvement that can keep important fields of art, music, literature, film and television alive and thriving. Now with a billion people on the internet, this could be the dawn of a new era of fan involvement in the arts.
Our Director, Steven Rumbelow, who is adapting this story for the screen and has adapted some of the world's finest authors for performance, talks about how he thinks fan based work may change the future of film as utilizing the internet for this purpose progresses. He has often observed instances in entertainment where the fans have made a huge impact, for example, how the future of Dr. Who was unknowingly saved by it’s Australian fans in the 1960s.
Steven asked for this survey to be set up in order to get feedback from fans. "It’s a Renegade kinda thing to do things differently and we are looking to get feedback before we make the film. I don't think that this could be achieved with just any fan base but I've looked at the David Moody blog and because of the nature of the Autumn books, I see the fans as being a small but enormously positive force that could become instrumental in the success of the production. Of course, we should add that we've already answered the questions we are asking you, but if this survey changes even one of our answers it was totally worth it."
So this is your chance to have some input in the shape of the film adaptation of one of your favorite post-apocalyptic works.

We want your feedback...
The first draft of the screenplay for Autumn is complete. In our
experiment to involve the opinions and commitment that fans bring to film and TV productions we are gathering information in the survey below to assess what aspects of the book are most important to the Autumn readership.
The only qualification is that you must have read the book, which you can download for free.
The notion of feedback from spectators is not new to film production but it is normally done during preview screenings of a largely completed film. With Autumn we have afforded the reader the respect to take his or her feelings into account at script level.
The survey is confidential. This survey and its answers do not go anywhere outside of Renegade.
Your anonymity is protected.
Please be sure to remember these questions apply ONLY to the first installment of Autumn and no other books in the series. Participants in the survey are asked to imagine they have not read any other books when writing responses.
Renegade wishes to make it very clear that we are not asking for new ideas. It is merely a survey which calls for opinions of the book from the fans. Please stick to the survey and assist us by providing the enlightenment we seek regarding your reactions to the book. If you do insist on sending any new, creative ideas, submitting them in this survey is an agreement that they become the property of Renegade, so please don't send them.
Click here to give us feedback.

Thanks, keep on eye on our blog, as we will be giving you a closer look at the making of the film for this incredible book.
