Fancentric Distribution?

Hello All,

Thank you to those who tuned in to the interview last Sunday. If you missed it, you can catch the archive here. It is a pretty cool interview with Steven Rumbelow, the director and Dickon Tolson the actor who plays Carl. There was also a visit from David Moody halfway through.

Now, we have a few things to discuss today. AUTUMN has been a "fancentric" film from the beginning and it is our intention to carry this through in elements of distribution in the UK and Canada. So we have some questions to ask of you in Canada and the UK.

You can answer these questions either in the comments section or e-mail us at autumninfo (at) renegademotionpictures.com.

CANADA
- Would you attend a Rainbow Theatres or Magic Lantern Theatre release of AUTUMN in your area of Canada?
- Would you subscribe to The Superchannel if they aired AUTUMN?
- Would you switch cable packages if need be to see AUTUMN?

UNITED KINGDOM
- Would you be prepared to buy a DVD made specifically for the fans that included behind the scenes shout outs to the fans and every deleted scene?
- What British Television station would you see as best suited to air an indie zombie film like AUTUMN?
- Which British theatre chain do you feel to be most fun and socially relevant for a film like AUTUMN?

Thanks for your input!

From Winnipeg, Canada:
Q - Would you attend a Rainbow Theatres or Magic Lantern Theatre release of AUTUMN in your area of Canada?
A - Yes

Q - Would you subscribe to The Superchannel if they aired AUTUMN?
A- Maybe, but I'd probably just wait for DVD or Digital download to be available.

Q - Would you switch cable packages if need be to see AUTUMN?
A - No. That's a lot of effort for one movie even though I'm a big fan of the book.

A: Of course

- What British Television station would you see as best suited to air an indie zombie film like AUTUMN?
A: It would have to be something like channel 4 or so.

- Which British theatre chain do you feel to be most fun and socially relevant for a film like AUTUMN?
Q: Initially I would say the Prince Charles in Central London, but since I am now based in Liverpool, I would say any near me! :)

Well.... Ummm Kinda sucks to be american in this situation. While I have benn following you guys forever, I feel a little let down that the "fancentrics" are only in the UK and Canada. (Was it because of the cocktease comment?) I understand the distro options and that you are still working on it, but any bit of news for the American fans? The loyal ones? Please?

I also saw a release of june on imdb, any truth to that or just a prediction?

Well, heres hoping in America

Thank you guys for your input, please encourage others to come and continue to give their input.

Keith, hahaha, not it wasn't the cocktease comment. And no, fancentric does not mean it is only for the Canadians and the US. Funnily enough, it is easier to make a sale in the US than it is Canada and the UK. So, that is why we are asking input for those countries. Spotlight is working on the US, and hopefully they will have some news for us soon. Please don't give up on us! We will have news.

Oh yeah, and that June on IMDB is a prediction. Sorry, but we will be here letting you know the second we have some actual news on a release.

A: What fool wouldnt? :)

- What British Television station would you see as best suited to air an indie zombie film like AUTUMN?
A: I can definitely see this on Channel 4 more than any other channel here.

- Which British theatre chain do you feel to be most fun and socially relevant for a film like AUTUMN?
Q: Odeon theatres are a definite no no. Cineworld are a decent chain that show more varied films.
